Revere, Massachusetts is the home of the first public beach in America. Created in 1895 by order of the Massachusetts Legislature. The beach is made up of both Revere Beach, across from the Revere Beach T stop, and Crescent Beach, at the Wonderland T stop.
The city is served by the Blue Line, which follows the same route as the old Boston, Revere Beach and Lynn Railroads.
Revere is more than just the public beach. Settled in 1630, and incorporated in 1871, prior to that, Revere was known as North Chelsea, and is still noted as such on the city seal. Revere is bordered by Everett, Chelsea, Malden and the Atlantic Ocean.
Revere is home to both Kelly's Roast Beef, and NECCO candy factory.
